Dithiocarbamate ligands as heavy metal expectorants from aqueous solutions

The uncontrolled concentrations of heavy metals introduced into the water sources need an effective method for their removal. dithiocarbamate (dtc) ligands are most popular precipitating agents used removal from wastewater. Presently, two novel dtc ligands, one without methylene linker (K2L1) and other with (K2L2) were eight ions including Fe2+, Co2+, Ni2+, Cu2+, Cd2+, Ag+, Zn2+ Pb2+ aqueous solution. These contain acyl (NH-C = O) S, S (thiolate) functional groups. results indicated that metal efficiency both was almost 100% at pH 4 7 free effect groups but depends on binding sites. It exhibited a distinct selectivity (Pb2+ ∼ Cu2+ Ag1+ > Cd2+ Co2+ Ni2+ Fe2+). developed methods have potential can be thiophilic water-soluble.HIGHLIGHTS Water treatment, contaminated by ions.Synthesis characterization ligands.Effect (-CH2-) dithiocarbamtes extraction.pH temperature extraction ligands.
